Westmont is an older community, the “Main Street” of Westmont follows Cass Avenue north-south between Chicago Avenue and 55th streets and sports several independent restaurants and local watering holes. Access to Chicago via Metra’s BNSF line will make any downtown field trip or shopping excursion more fun with no gridlock. Every summer, local restaurants and the chamber of commerce collaborate on the Taste of Westmont, held on Cass Avenue, which is pedestrian-only for the four-day festival.
