Woodridge is a medium-sized village with recreation in mind. Bordered on the West by Route 53, Woodridge is perfect for the outdoors, as the Central DuPage bike trail runs through several neighborhoods. The “Downtown Woodridge” commercial district on Route 53 is home to a Cinemark movie plex featuring IMAX, Edward-Elmhurst Health & Fitness Center, Seven Bridges Golf Club, and several other dining and entertainment businesses. Close proximity to Lisle and the BNSF Metra train station also means easy access to downtown Chicago. Just to the north is Morton Arboretum and its host of nature trails for walking or cycling, and Greene Valley Forest Preserve dominates the landscape south of 75th street.
